The Tahlequah Tigers kept the Sapulpa Chieftains from coming back 21-14 after being shut out for the first half of Friday night’s game in Tahlequah.

A tough Cardinal defense limited Sapulpa to just 2 touchdowns all game, giving the Chieftains their first district loss of the season.
The Cards are currently undefeated and the Chieftains lost to them last year 42-17. Coach Holt says he “feels great” about this year’s matchup.
Sapulpa defeated the visiting Memorial Chargers 47-8 during their Homecoming Game with an explosive opening quarter that put Sapulpa’s district record 1-0 for the season.
“My favorite part about coaching eSports is getting to see these kids from every facet of the school. Band, Athletics, Debate, Choir, or even the kids who have never participated in other activities at all come together.”
