Sapulpa Schools says students in high School, Junior High, and Bartlett Academy will finish out the week in distance learning and should resume in-person learning on Monday.

School officials said a gas odor led them to move the students to the Chieftain Center for the remainder of the day and contact parents about early pickup.

The Grants-to-Teachers Program provides Sapulpa Public Schools teachers with funds for the development and implementation of innovative teaching projects.

Mrs. White was chosen from 1,200 nominees for her passion and dedication to science. As part of this honor, Mrs. White was awarded $5,000, with an additional $5,000 for Freedom Elementary.

In an email sent late last week, the district says that changes to entryways, exits, parking lots and locations for pickup and dropoff should be expected.

The event, held at Buffalo Rock Golf & Venue in Cushing, OK, saw participation from 31 teams and 124 golfers across two flights, with proceeds benefiting Central Tech students facing financial hardships.

"They need to just go in there and be who they are. They just need to stay mentally locked in and come home with a win. They need to stop the run—Ponca City likes to run, but it's nothing they haven't seen before."
