The study determined Sapulpa, which has a population similar to Sand Springs’, was slightly safer. Sapulpa reported 187 violent crimes per 100,000 people and 2,680 property crimes per 100,000 people for a total crime score of 942.
Cities with high median household incomes also tended to have good safety ratings.
Collinsville’s annual median household income between 2009 and 2013 was $58,241, compared to $39,388 for Sapulpa and $54,381 for Sand Springs.
