Holmes Park Huskies hosted representatives from John Christner Trucking in honor of Truck Driver Appreciation Week, which kicked off Monday.

While pleasantly serving lunch to anyone walking into Sapulpa’s American Legion Post 36 on Lee Ave. during Sapulpa’s Route 66 Blowout, Angela Foresman, its Commander, took time to remember her 9/11 day twenty years ago.

A few entities voiced their complaints in writing about the proposed operation, however, none appeared to speak at the meeting.

An Sapulpa business’s application for a Special Exception to allow a wedding venue and event center and a variance to allow gravel for parking and driveway made for a lengthy discussion at Tuesday evening’s Creek County Board of Adjustment meeting.

McGill will serve as the organization’s Interim Executive Director until the Board is able to find a replacement for the late Rita Diehl, who passed away in June.
