Sapulpa firefighters were able to extinguish a fire in a vehicle about 7:50 am on Monday morning, but not before the truck was fully engulfed.
The new station will replace the old one, located at 10 E. Murphy, just east of South Main.
“There won’t be another tower like it around. It will be great, not just for us, but for all surrounding communities. We have big plans for it.”
The timing of the fire has Sapulpa police concerned and the cause is under investigation.
5 hours of investigation turned up little as to the cause of the fire, but fire marshals don’t suspect foul play.
