Local businesses joined together to raise a total of 400lbs of pet supplies for the Sapulpa Animal Shelter.

At around 11:15 am on Friday, November 25th, Steve Heron turned to his wife Tiffany and said, "I think there's a horse in our backyard."

Early Wednesday afternoon, Sapulpa Times got a call: "you want an update on that peacock story? We just got a peahen."

The Sapulpa Animal Shelter is overrun with kittens right now, and officials are reminding people to get their pets spayed and neutered. Plus, see a gallery of kittens that need to be adopted!

Employees at the Sapulpa Animal Shelter wants people to know how much the shelter differs from what people think of when they think of a “pound.”

Open date now looks to be set for late June, early July.
