Tech Sergeant John Jacobus, co-owner of Squish Burger in Mounds, Oklahoma, is being deployed out of the country by the Air National Guard and was given a going away party by friends and relatives.
Mounds hold annual fish fry, carnival, and fireworks

Mounds held their annual fish fry and the Mounds Parent Teacher Organization held its first annual carnival, which was followed that evening by a fireworks show put on by the Town of Mounds.
Town of Mounds approves 2023-2024 budget

The first order of business was to hold a public hearing, there were no public comments, therefore the Board unanimously adopted a resolution adopting the Town of Mounds budget. The next order of business was to unanimously approve the consent agenda, which consisted of the following items:
Mounds appoints new Fire Chief

Kirk Sohl has been appointed to the position of Fire Chief by the Mounds Board Of trustees. Sohl, who has been a member of the Mounds Volunteer Fire Department for over 15 years, and has most recently served as Assistant Chief, replaced Jim Danforth who retired earlier this Spring.
High-Speed internet coming to Adair, Inola, Kellyville and Mounds
