John says his wife Charlene, who along with John, owns and operates the restaurant, will take over while he is deployed. The Tech Sergeant wasn’t allowed to say where he was being deployed and said he did not know the length of his deployment.

Among the guests were John’s wife’s Great Uncle Eddie Beasley, and his wife Connie. Beasley has written a book titled: “Lucky Enough,” which chronicles his life entertaining the Marine Corp, his tour of duty and meritorious service in Vietnam in the mid-sixties, and his life after his tragic encounter with a landmine in the Jungles of Vietnam. In his book, he details how he met his wife Connie, and how he adapted and overcame the physical challenges that faced him.
