Georgette Thompson went to court Tuesday to ask a Creek County judge for a long-term protective order against Steven Kinman, the man she says stabbed and choked her.
Kinman, who is in custody, took part in the hearing from jail and objected to the order.
Thompson agreed to be named in a recorded phone interview with Sapulpa Times before the hearing. Earlier Sapulpa Times reporting did not name her.
In that interview, Thompson said she still can’t use her left hand.
“I’m not doing very okay,” she said.
