2nd Annual “Run 4 Reid” Color Run, a 5k color run and 1-mile Fun Run at the Sapulpa High School football field from around 7 a.m. to noon. Registration is $25-$35, depending on which race you run. The 1-mile fun run will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the 5k will begin at 9:00 a.m.. Neither race will be timed! This event is in honor of Michael Reid, who passed away in January of 2017 doing what he loved—running. All proceeds benefit classrooms at Sapulpa Middle School.

Sapulpa Main Street Route 66 Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Creek County Courthouse parking lot at 222 East Dewey Avenue in Sapulpa. Bristow Historical Society and Bristow Tabouleh Fest’s Annual Tabouleh Fest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street in Bristow. Not only will they have their famous tabbouleh, but you can experience and celebrate authentic Lebanese culture with exciting dances, live music, and more amazing food! Connected Trail Clinic hosted by West Equestrian Services and Training from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2835 South Main Street in Sapulpa. For $130 a person, this event will help you work on staying connected with the horse and in control on while on trails or hikes, with young, old, or inexperienced horses. They will have obstacles on a short trail system and a potluck lunch! Mother/Daughter Workout at CrossFit West of the River from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 620-A East Lee in Sapulpa. This is their 3rd Annual Mother Daughter Fitness Event on Mother’s Day weekend! They will have a special partner workout followed by some partner yoga-inspired stretching! Afterwards they will have some fun girl time with light snacks and a craft.

The workout will be for ALL fitness levels and can be modified by their professional instructors to meet any need.

Cost is $10 per couple. Daughters age 3 years old and up can participate. If you have more than one daughter, please consider bringing an aunt, grandmother, godmother, etc. to be a partner, but it is not necessary! They will adjust the workout to fit any group. Sapulpa Animal Shelter and Sapulpa Furry Friends Cat and Dog Adoption Event at from noon to 3 p.m. at 515 East Fife in Sapulpa. This weekend adoption is to help combat the overcrowded conditions in the shelter and allow people who can’t adopt during the week due to work schedules to visit the animals. They urge you to attend and to please adopt, as the small shelter is at max capacity, and they will be forced to euthanize some of these sweet dogs if they cannot find their forever home.

All animals will be spayed or neutered and receive vaccinations before they go home. Additionally, everyone who adopts will receive a discount coupon toward their first vet visit to Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital in Sapulpa.

Dogs who are adopted also go home with a coupon for a free self-serve dog wash from Dirty Dawg’s Grooming in Sapulpa and a free behavioral training class courtesy of All Things Canine Behavior in Tulsa.

If you are interested in cats, you can go to PetSmart Tulsa Hills and Pet Supplies Plus at 61st and Memorial, who have a partnership with Sapulpa Furry Friends to help show and network the cats. They are available for meet and greets and adoption during store hours.

You may also visit the Sapulpa Animal Shelter and adopt a pet Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dogs are $55 and cats $45.
