Tomorrow is the big day to get out and vote! I know a lot of information for the bond has been pushed out the last few weeks, but if you need a refresher on anything, you can see the coverage produced by the Sapulpa Times, or read the information given out by Sapulpa Public Schools.
Cross Country
It was a great day in Guthrie for the boys’ and girls’ teams. The men placed 2nd as a team and the ladies placed 5th! The varsity team travels to Joplin, MO this coming weekend for the Southern Stampede at MSSU. Also, it was a great day at OBU on Saturday as Kymber Raines placed 1st, Molly Lafevers placed 6th, and Lilian Mosquito placed 8th to help lead the JH girls’ to overall 1st place! Lastly for XC, the JH boys’ had a great day at OBU as well as they placed 4th. Traber Lusk stays undefeated as he took 1st individually!
Volleyball
This Thursday is SENIOR NIGHT. It will be $1 night for students to get in as the Lady Chieftains compete against Locust Grove. We hope to have a big crowd to celebrate these ladies! Congrat to Tyla Heard as she made it 4 for 4 on earning all tournament team honors in Bartlesville this past weekend.
Softball
Several big games this week as the ladies compete against Grove, Coweta and then in the Skiatook festival. The JH ladies also compete in the Claremore tournament this week, too!
Band
The Chieftain marching band has their first competition coming up on 9/30. They will be travelling to the Owasso Invitational. Tickets for this contest are available online or can be purchased on site the day of the contest. Tickets are for all day (no separate prelims/finals tickets) and are $15. Here is the online link if you’d like to purchase ahead of time: Owasso Contest Ticket Parking is very limited on site, but Owasso offers free shuttle parking at several churches near the High School.
