Weekly Sports Minute: updates on choir, Jazz band, FFA and Ping Pings!

Back to their first full week of school following Thanksgiving Break, the students are already looking forward to Christmas, which is just three weeks away! Here are a few good shout-outs for you today!

All-State Choir

Congratulations to our All-State Choir students: Marcus Borjas, Alli Fuller and Ray Tallant!

Band

Congratulations to Josh Diehl for auditioning and earning the Bass spot in the All-State Jazz Band. They only pick one Bass player out of the entire state, and Josh was it!! How amazing!

FFA

Conner Lott, Kyle Haught, and Tyler Dean competed at the Marietta Welders Rodeo and brought home some serious hardware!! Conner and Kyle brought home Reserve Champion and a ton of equipment! During the contest, these three made H-Braces and T-Post Pullers, as well as took a written test pertaining to Agricultural Mechanics. Congratulations to all three of these boys for their hard work!

Ping Pings

The ladies competed at the DTU competition just before break started and they were named the DTU regional varsity team performance champions along with most entertaining!

By the way, if you haven’t seen it yet, the Pings are hosting a great fundraiser to help out you parents with young kids! December 2nd the Ping Pings are hosting a Parents Night Out!

Drop the kids off and let’s the Pings watch the kids while you enjoy a night out at the Chute, having dinner, or finishing some Christmas shopping! All the fun will be had at Ovations Gym with snacks and waters provided!
