We have FOUR Regional Champions from regionals this past week:
- Kassie Buckner – Regional Champion / 4x state qualifier
- Liz Cope – 2x Regional Champion / 3x state qualifier / 1x state placer (state runner-up)
- Ethan Peterson – 2x Regional Champion / 4x state qualifier / 1x state placer
- Cavin Peper – Regional Champion / 3x qualifier / 2x state placer
- Jackson Madden – Regional 3rd Place and State Qualifier
- Alexander Henderson – Regional 4th Place and State Qualifier
- Jackson Willingham – Regional 5th Place / 2x state Qualifier
- Jackson Mills – Regional 5th Place and State Qualifiers
Wrestling begins this Thursday in OKC at the Big House. Good luck, Chieftains!
Basketball
Your Lady Chieftains are District Champs and will be hosting regionals this week. Games begin on Tuesday! Lady Chieftains vs. Claremore at 6 pm at the Chieftain Center. The men will also be taking on Claremore but playing at Booker T. for their 1st round game this Thursday at 7:30 pm.
Track:
The Chieftain tracksters competed at the Washburn University indoor meet this past Saturday. 35 athletes from Sapulpa attended and represented the school in a great way. There were many personal best performances, which included: Titus Ellis, Clayton McCullough, William Castleberry, and Brian Slone had PR’s in the 3000. Schuyler Stephens and Katie Chambers had PRs in the mile. Xyler Singleton ran his best 200m race. Across the board, the Chieftains performed and competed well. Outdoor season begins March 7th for junior high and March 15th for high school!
ROTC
Our amazing ROTC program came out of the Service Championship in 6th place overall (Only the top five teams advance). Also, Sydney Burrow received an individual invitation to compete at the 2024 JROTC National Championship this coming March at Camp Perry, OH.
School Musical
It is getting close to opening night for James and the Giant Peach! Public shows will be on February 29th, March 1st and 2nd. All shows are at 7:30 pm in the High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adult
Spring sports: Scrimmages will wrap up this week and the season officially opens on March 1!
