Since 2016, Kante Group has been revitalizing downtown Sapulpa by bringing entertainment, dining, retail, accessibility, and hospitality to the historic heart of Route 66. Just over one year ago, Waypoint Lounge, an Esports lounge, Asian-German fusion restaurant, and full bar, opened its doors and welcomed locals to this family-friendly, 9,000 sq ft historic building boasting state of the art tech for streaming and gaming. Kante Group’s venture into Esports is just the beginning, as the building also houses a production facility, robotic cameras, a giant LED wall, and a complete control room that can be used by school groups for educational purposes. And the newest offering, which opens in June: a Biergarten.
A monarch and pollinator sanctuary paired with an iron Death Star fire pit and industrial patio furniture, the Waypoint Lounge Biergarten beautifully harmonizes the coexistence of nature and technology. A local artist-designed mural is the backdrop of the Biergarten, where local vendor events, live music, local brewery tap takeovers, lawn games, and food and drinks will be available this summer and fall. To kick off the patio season, Waypoint Lounge is hosting a Grand Opening evening of entertainment under the stars. On Saturday, June 8th from 5 pm – 10 pm, enjoy cold brews, giant beer pong and other lawn games, pop-up shopping by local small businesses, and the restaurant’s full menu out in the Biergarten. Indoors, you’ll find an ambient retro-futuristic atmosphere for playing video games, tabletop and card games, relaxing at the full bar and a unique dining experience.
“Adding the Biergarten outside of Waypoint is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community in a way everyone can enjoy,” says Brittney Tyler, Marketing Coordinator for Kante Group. “The Kante family has created something really special here—a space for the community to gather and partner with local businesses to reinvigorate Sapulpa and enjoy downtown.
Just 15 minutes from Tulsa, the Biergarten at Waypoint Lounge will be open seasonally. The Grand Opening is a family-friendly event until 10pm, when the Lounge will become an adults-only karaoke bar.
Waypoint Lounge’s summer hours are 11 am – midnight every day of the week. The restaurant is priced very fairly and there is something delicious for every budget, from short ribs with fried rice to spring roll appetizers and pizza bao bun kids meals. The bar makes handcrafted cocktails, wine, beer on tap, and Boozy Boba Milk Teas, also available NA. Play console games all day for only $10, PCs for $5/hour, or an all-access day pass for $20. Weekly game passes are also available.
Catering, event space and party room rentals are additional amenities at the Lounge, hosting both small and large groups from graduations to birthday parties.
Other Kante Group developments include the Crossroads Cookery, an American Eatery with a patio and event space “Upstairs,” and the Teepee Drive-In movie theater complete with Spartan trailer Airbnbs for an overnight experience like no other. Handpicked and house-roasted beans are available at Crossroads Coffee Lab, a full coffee shop inside the Crossroads Cookery. Shop at Senestyle Boutique, a women’s clothing boutique that donates a portion of its profits to The Make Sense Foundation. Located in the Burnett Mansion in Sapulpa, The Make Sense Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Senegence that supports women and children in need. Additionally, the Senegence office is located at 301 S. Main St., and more Airbnbs are available in Old City Hall.
