Kourtnie Weierman and Steven Belanger, currently students at Tulsa Community College and studying to be paramedics, recently received the 2021 Oklahoma Rural Paramedic Scholarship from EMS Success, Inc. They both work for Creek County EMS.

Each student will receive up to $3,000 from EMS Success, Inc. for a two-year commitment to work in an approved rural or under-served community in Oklahoma providing paramedic-level care.

Weierman and Belanger are part of the Healthcare Specialist/Paramedic program, a three-semester workforce development program at TCC designed to go directly into the field upon completing either the Associate of Applied Science degree or Certificate.
