The Tulsa Girls Home, a dream that faced stiff opposition at the onset, finally celebrated becoming a reality at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, where members from the City of Sapulpa, the County, and the Sapulpa Chamber, along with a number of other organizations, gathered to tour the home and meet their newest resident, who just moved two weeks ago. Co-Founder Brittany Stokes said that the girls who live at the home are  “going to be stronger,” and that she’s sure they will  “go out and change the world.”

She also thanked the neighbors and community that rallied to help make the event happen. “We’re surrounded by community. That support is felt here.”
