Timely Updates: following up on the dog-bite and “family affair” stories.

What happened to the dog that bit the boy? Or the girl and boyfriend that had that “family affair?” Updates are here.

As of Wednesday morning, the German Shepherd dog involved in the biting of a 10-year-old boy on December 28th, 2018, was housed in Animal Shelter custody, pending action by his owner, James Gage. Judge Stephanie Lorbiecki decided that the dog could not be housed in the city limits of Sapulpa and had to undergo some training. Read the full story story here

Mary Ruhl, Animal Shelter Manager, said the owner had five days from being served to comply with the judge’s order. She didn’t know if he had received the certified letter yet.

She said that the dog’s owner had visited his dog at the shelter on Fife St.

The young victim of the attack received 12 stitches and 18 staples in his thigh and ankle. He was on light duty at school for awhile, and his stitches and staples were removed on January 9th. Three other boys with the victim were threatened by the other dogs in the melee.
