The typical eclipse seems to only be enjoyed by astronomy enthusiasts, and your average 6th-grade science class, the uniqueness of this particular event brought out crowds of people and sold out on eclipse glasses all around the nation.

Though Oklahoma was isn’t in the path of totality for the first eclipse to pass the continental U.S. in 99 years, it didn’t mean that we didn’t get to enjoy it.

Price and Melissa Jones got up early to make a 5-hour road trip to get to the path of totality. He calls it “one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced.”

Even if you didn’t have the special glasses, sometimes all it took was a the shadow of a tree, a pin hole through a piece of paper, or even a hole in your building.

Mark Robinson and his family drove all the way to Nashville Tennessee to shoot his first eclipse in the path of totality. As you can see from his photos, the drive was totally worth it.
