Friday, November 15, 1918, Creek County Republican: New Law Firm

“Warren H. Brown and CJ Reynolds have formed a partnership for the practice of law under the firm name of Brown and Reynolds and have opened offices in the Burnett Building on Main Street. Mr. Brown is well and favorably known in Creek County and Mr. Reynolds is from Birmingham, Alabama, and has had several years of successful practice of his profession.”

Monday, November 15, 1948, Sapulpa Herald: Murphy Recital Here Sunday Greeted with Warm Response

“Probably the most heartwarming response of the career which unfolds before him greeted Donald Murphy, young Sapulpa piano artist, when he played his benefit recital Sunday afternoon in the high school auditorium. The concert, sponsored by Sapulpa Rotary Club, for the purpose of raising funds to help finance Donald’s more advanced study of music, was attended by approximately 300 Sapulpans, many of whom have watched his progress in music through grade school and high school. Exact amount to be turned over to the young pianist by the Rotary Club is not known today. Final check-up will be made tomorrow at the regular weekly luncheon, according to Delmar Sharp, Rotary Club president, who expressed himself as well pleased with the concert from both the standpoint of good entertainment and the amount of money realized through presentation of the program…”

Friday, November 15, 1968, Sapulpa Daily Herald: Terrill Chosen Banquet Speaker

“Sen. Al Terrill of Lawton, chosen this week as senate majority floor leader for the 32nd Oklahoma legislature, will be the featured speaker at the Oklahoma Jaycees Outstanding Young Educator banquet here next spring. David Main, Sapulpa Jaycee and chairman of the annual banquet, made the announcement. The banquet is scheduled for next April 19, with the winner of Jaycees’ program to honor outstanding personalities in the field of education to be announced at the time. Terrill was chairman of the Senate education committee during the last term of legislature…”

Sunday, November 15, 1998, Sapulpa Daily Herald: Brite Honored

“George C. Brite of Sapulpa stood alongside Betty Price, Oklahoma Arts Council Executive Director, and Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating following ceremonies honoring Brite as recipient of the Governor’s Arts Award in Arts and Education. Brite was one of the 23 award recipients honored at the State Capitol.”
