It’s homecoming week! Lots of things happening this week at SPS in preparation for the parade and Friday’s football game! All of it will be streamed on Chieftain TV.

Also, we will pre-sale tickets to the football game on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 11 am – 2 pm in the ticket booth at the football stadium.

Cross Country

Saturday was a great day for the Junior High team as they competed at Holland Hall! Here are the results:

6th-grade girls – 1st (AND stay UNDEFEATED!)
6th-grade boys – 5th out of 15
7/8 grade girls – 7th out of 14
7/8 grade boys – 2nd out of 20!!

The varsity team traveled to Joplin, MO Saturday to compete in the MSSU Southern Stampede. The boys’ finished 11th overall and were the top Oklahoma team! They travel to Edmond this week for the Pre-State meet. Hard to believe we are already getting close to the end of their season.

Volleyball

The Lady Chieftains volleyball team has two big matches this week against some top ranked 5A and 6A opponents in Claremore and Union. Good luck to our #6 ranked Lady Chieftain volleyball team!

Softball

The ladies of the softball diamond have two big district matches this week against Bishop Kelley and Claremore.

Football

District play opens this Friday for the Chieftains as the Memorial Chargers come to town for Homecoming. Homecoming activities will begin at 6:30 and kickoff is at 7 pm. Tickets will be on sale Tuesday and Wednesday, from 11 am – 2 pm, in the ticket booth at the football stadium.  Adults are $7 and students are $5.
