Sapulpa Schools set to start construction on new High School

Sapulpa Schools is warning residents to get ready for changes coming to the high school campus as they prepare to build the new Sapulpa High School.

In an email sent late last week, the district says that changes to entryways, exits, parking lots and locations for pickup and dropoff should be expected, and that the changes will also affect Sapulpa Junior High School. The full statement is below.

The construction is part of the Chieftain Stronger $279 million School Bond that passed in September of 2023. It will include a new high school, performing arts center, sports complex, and other updates. You can see our story on the high school in our earlier reporting here.

Dear Chieftains,

Over the next weeks and months, you’ll see exciting things happening at the Sapulpa High School campus, as construction crews prepare the site for the new Sapulpa High School building. We will keep you informed of changes to entryways and exits, parking lots, pickup/drop-off zones, and other important information as construction ramps up. Changes will also affect Sapulpa Junior High School.

We will notify you of developments that may impact our students, staff and families, via email and text, on our website, and on district social media. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get the most up-to-date information as the biggest project in the Chieftain Stronger bond package gets underway.
