Sapulpa Public Schools has released a statement saying that no students were onboard the school bus that was involved in a traffic accident early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at the intersection of 91st street and Highway 97 at around 8:00am this morning.
The original dispatch call said that there were two SUVs and a school bus involved, but only one SUV was at the scene of the accident.
“This morning, a Sapulpa Public Schools bus was involved in an accident on Hwy 97 as they started the elementary route,” the statement said.
“We are grateful to report that no students were on board at the time, and everyone involved in the incident is okay. First responders arrived promptly on the scene, and safety procedures were followed immediately.”
No injuries have been reported, and no other details about what caused the crash have been released.
