Sapulpa, OK— 04/20/20 —After much deliberation, the Bartlett-Carnegie Sapulpa Public Library and Tulsa Community College would like to announce the winners of their Poetry Contest which was available for homeschool, private or public high school students who live, work or attend school within Creek County. Another caveat was that students should have a Sapulpa Public Library membership card. (Library card membership is free for area residents).

At the end of February, the library contacted schools within Creek County via phone and email to send the rules and entry forms. Poetry submission dates were March 1 – 31, 2021. A number of poems were received. Thank you to everyone who participated. Your creativity was wonderful.

The panel of judges consisted of Sapulpa Public library staff, Tulsa Community College staff and retired professors, Sapulpa Friends of the Library members and local business owners. The top four poems reviewed and received by the judges were submitted through a plagiarism program to ensure originality of work. All poems passed with flying colors. Congratulations to our winners who hail from Kiefer High School and Eagle Point Christian Academy.
