Sapulpa police say they’re “fairly certain” they’ve identified the shooter who allegedly fired a round into the sidewalk just east of the high school football stadium last Friday.
According to a statement on the Sapulpa Police Department Facebook Page, police also confirmed that neither the suspect nor the victim, who are both juveniles, were enrolled as students for the current school year.
“Obviously, with him being a juvenile and not yet in custody, we cannot disclose his name,” the post stated.
On Saturday, police said they had “no reason to believe that the suspect was ever on school grounds with a weapon.” They said they had confirmed that the suspect “came from an area away from the school.”
