According to the statement, Casey Brandon Peterson, 35, pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact with a child under 12 years of age.

In a written plea agreement, Peterson stated that one time, between June 2019 and October 2019, he knowingly engaged in sexual contact with the child. Peterson admitted that he pulled down the victim’s pants and underwear and made sexual contact with the child. He then told the victim not to tell anyone.

Authorities were alerted in February 2020 when the victim saw the defendant again for the first time in several months, started crying and disclosed to a parent the acts that Peterson committed. The FBI and Sapulpa Police Department conducted an investigation and Peterson was arrested on March 31st, 2020.

Chief U.S. District Judge John E. Dowdell set sentencing for June 14, 2021.
