Sapulpa had their first win of the season when they beat Ponca City at home by a score of 42-14.

Even though Ponca City drew first blood, Sapulpa quickly settled up with a 25-yard rushing TD from Freshman Te’zohn Taft.

Meanwhile, Ponca City wouldn’t score again for almost the entire game.

4th quarter started with as much fanfare as the previous when Marcus Esparza intercepted and scored with a 40-yard return. Ponca City 7, Sapulpa 41.

Sophmore Kaivon Mortazavi rounded out each TD with a kick, scoring a total of 6 points.
