Sapulpa Band Performs and Crowns Queen

Monday, March 7, Sapulpa high school and junior high band students held their winter concert and coronation. The High School Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, High School Jazz Combo, and High School Wind Ensemble all performed compositions they will be taking to contest this spring.

Band Coronation also took place that evening. Students selected representatives from each class and guard to be honored for their service and leadership.

Senior attendants were: Shelby Howerton – Escorted by Dalton Newport, Erynn McCabe – escorted by Michael LeMense, Linsey McCollum – escorted by Leon Graham, Christina Shomaker – escorted by Vincent Ryker and Journey Freudenthaler – escorted by DeShaun Bryant.

Sophomore Attendants: Sheridan Mackey – escorted by Kyle Fisher, MaryEllen Bush – escorted by Luke Cosby and Michala Beesley – escorted by Blake Hilligoss

Shelby Howerton, senior bassoonist and drum major was chosen by the band to be the Band Queen.
