It’s that time of year. The sweet sounds of drums and the ever ticking metronome can be heard in the early morning hours around George Collins Stadium as your Sapulpa Chieftain Marching Band prepares to entertain the home crowd under the Friday Night Lights. But this band doesn’t bring home the hardware that lines the George Brite Band Hall without the help of parents and the community. Every year the Sapulpa Band Boosters boost the band budget to the tune of about $20,000.  One of the booster’s biggest money makers is their annual bingo night. This year the game will be held on Saturday September 12 at 6pm in the Sapulpa High School Commons. Cost to play is $10 with additional cards for premium games for sale for $5.

This year they’ve added a little crescendo to their efforts by becoming a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Donors now have the added bonus of tax deductible status in addition to supporting a strong Sapulpa tradition. Director Craig Amendt has brought the program back from a small group to a once again thriving, honor-winning band that brings statewide as well as national honor back to Sapulpa High School.

Local businesses and organizations have stepped up and opened their hearts and wallets to support this year’s bingo.  Some of the prizes up for grabs are:
