August started more games at right offensive tackle than any other player in that position in Seahawk history at 90 games. He was traded to his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, midway through his eighth year, then finished his career with the NewYork Jets. August was a Third Team All American at the University of Tulsa. He now works as a Financial Advisor at Financial Planning Resources in Tulsa. August resides in Tulsa with his wife Kellie and his two sons Matt and Seth.
Longtime supporter Lon T. Jackson will receive special recognition for almost 70 years as a volunteer for The Salvation Army. Mr. Jackson has been ringing the kettle bells almost every winter for several decades helping to raise unknown amounts. One of his first endeavors was to raise funds for local children who wanted to join the summer program but the families could not afford it. This is an opportunity children have been given each year thanks to donors and supporters like Jackson.
All proceeds from this event directly benefit the Creek County Boys & Girls Club special projects including: summer camp scholarships, membership scholarships, emergency facility needs, community financial utility assistance, emergency financial assistance and the Christmas Toy Program.
Sponsor tables are currently available ranging from $750 to $5,000. Contact Cathy Carletti-DuPriest at 918-671-6347 for more information, tickets or sponsor opportunities. You may also reserve a table in person by visiting the Creek County Boys & Girls Club, 1721 South Hickory, Sapulpa, OK, 74067.
