A ten-month-old puppy is recovering after rescuers say he was thrown from a car.

“Both the police chief and my vet, Dr. McWilliams, had stated that the injuries are in line with being tossed from a moving vehicle,” said Misty Bilby, owner of Amore pit bull rescue.

Glenpool animal control found the puppy in a ditch right off highway 75 and 141st street Thursday afternoon. His condition was so bad that he could not stay at the shelter.

“I got a post from the Glenpool animal shelter that this guy was in immediate need of rescue and that if a rescue didn’t come forward, he would most likely be euthanized,” Bilby added.
