Sapulpa police arrested the owner of a local convenience store, who they say sold alcohol to a minor on October 20th.
Sajjad Ali Khan, 46, is listed as Stop N Save’s sole owner and employee at 748 N Brown Street in Sapulpa.

According to the arrest affidavit, Sapulpa police conducted an underage buy of alcohol and tobacco products at the convenience store at 1:15 pm, with cooperation from a 19-year-old civilian female.
Police say the woman walked into the store and purchased the products from someone she calls “Mr. Habib,” which turned out to be an alias for Khan. The woman told police she was not ID’d by Khan for her purchases.

Ten minutes later, police converged on the store and placed Khan under arrest. The two $20 bills that the woman used to pay for the alcohol and vape she purchased were found in the register.
According to the arrest affidavit, police conducted a criminal history check and found that Khan is a registered sex offender following a 2021 federal conviction for sexual battery on a person over 16 at the store location.
The ‘Stop N Save’ convenience store sits directly across from the Sapulpa Aquatic Center and Liberty Park. Khan has reportedly owned it since 2018.
Detective Mike Sole told Sapulpa Times that they’ve been getting complaints about this particular store “for quite some time.”
“We’ve gone down different avenues to try to address the situation,” Sole said, adding that the store was temporarily shut down due to health code violations, but was open again not long after.
