Oklahoma crosses 1,000 cases over the weekend, Creek County Health Dept. now offering Curbside Testing

As of Monday, there are 1,327 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma State Health Department.

There are 51 total deaths in the state, with an additional five deaths announced on Monday: Two in Greer County, a male and a female older than 65; One in Oklahoma County, a male in the 18-35 age group; One in Osage County, a female older than 65; One in Pottawatomie County, a male older than 65;

Over the weekend, the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) received more than 6,000 negative COVID-19 test results reported by private labs dating back to February. The agency continues to collect negative test results from private labs, and will make the final count known to the public when they are finalized. This will help provide a full picture of the total testing in Oklahoma.

Creek County Health Department to begin offering Curbside COVID-19 testing by appointment

The Creek County Health Department has announced curbside COVID-19 testing will be available by appointment only beginning April 6th at the Creek County Health Department, 1808 S. Hickory Street, Sapulpa, while supplies are available.

The Creek County Health Department encourages those individuals 18 years and older who are experiencing a fever of 100.4 or higher, cough, or shortness of breath to contact the Creek County Health Department at 918-224-5531 to reserve an appointment. Testing is free and does not require insurance. Instructions for utilizing the curbside testing service will be provided at the time the appointment is made.

A physician’s order is not needed in order to be tested through the Health Department’s curbside testing option. However, we do encourage established patients seeking testing to contact their primary care provider.

Please remember COVID-19 testing at the Creek County Health Department is being done curbside, by appointment only. Individuals are asked to remain in their vehicle at all times.
