In Loving Memory of
Vicky (Sanders) (Thramer) Curtis
Vicky was born on February 26, 1954, in Santa Maria, California. She was the daughter of Glenn and Lila (Woodward) Sanders. She grew up in Norfolk, NE and received her education at Norfolk Senior High in Norfolk, NE. then graduated college in 1993 from San Jacinto Community College on the Honor Roll, with a GPA of 4.0 as a MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) in Houston, TX.
Early in her career, she got to be a manager of her own laboratory in Pasadena, TX. Later moving to Oklahoma, she continued her passion in the lab, working at Doctors Hospital in 1997 till the day they shut the door on December 20, 2000. Then making her final career move and joined the family at Hillcrest Medical Center where she retired in 2017.
She was united in marriage to Donald E. Curtis on April 10, 2010, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They lived in Sapulpa, OK and celebrated their 11th anniversary this year.
She was a Lutheran who loved church, gospel music, enjoyed her animals, reading books, coloring, going to the movies, gardening, seeing, and playing with all the grand & great grandchildren and watching westerns. Vicky climbed the stairs to heaven on September 24, 2021, at OSU medical center in Tulsa, OK.
She is survived by her husband Donald of Sapulpa, OK, son’s and daughter-in-law’s, Jeremy & Tricia Thramer of Giltner, NE., Philip & Melissa Thramer and Heath & Tara Thramer of Sapulpa, OK and Miranda Thramer of Tulsa, OK., stepchildren/in-law’s, Tammy Jo & Chris Tuggle, Faith & Mitchell Holmes, of Kellyville, OK., Kady Curtis of Sapulpa, OK., niece and nephews, Candace Lawrence, Eric Waterhouse and Jake Sanders, brother -in-law, Robert Waterhouse of Winside, NE., cousin, Eileen Todd of Campbell, NE, grandchildren Seth, Tanner, Chloe, Sheyanne, Timothy, Emily, Kaleb, Raylei, Tessa, Abby, Gavin, Jeremiah, Meghan, Amanda, Nicole, Halley, Harley, Taylor and Cody, great niece & nephew Hailey, Ryan, Nathan, and Gage Lawrence. Great Grandchildren Ella Lou, Lila Faye, Kaleya, Johnny, Hunter, Thomas, Taylor, Scarlett, and Halley, adopted daughter, Stephanie Norris.
She is preceded in death by her parents, only brother Glenn F. Sanders II and only sister Barbara L. Waterhouse.
Services are on Saturday, October 9, 2021, 11:00 am at Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Sapulpa, OK. Following services will be a lunch in her loving memory.
