Services for Stephen Major, 58, of Tulsa, Oklahoma will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Fletcher Cemetery.
Stephen passed away in his home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 58.
Stephen was born April 18, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas to John Charles Major and Emma Elizabeth (Collier) Major. He graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He then joined the Air Force where he served as a Special Operations Pilot and a Staff Sergeant. Stephen served his country in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 1996. He served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. During his service, Stephen received an Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Metal, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 2 devices, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon/Pistol, Combat Readiness Metal, and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. Stephen worked in maintenance following his career in the air force where he and his team won service awards and was spoken of fondly by the residents and coworkers that he came in contact with.
Stephen is survived by his daughters, Cristina and Meggan; his son, Taylor; his brother Robert Major; and his sister Rebecca Major Rother.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Elizabeth Major; his brothers, John and Thomas Major; and his sister, Suzy Major.
