Shirley Jane Reed Ruth was born in Hilton, Oklahoma, on February 12, 1936, to Frank and Roberteen Dale Reed.  She was the first grandchild and was SO loved (and spoiled) by everyone.  After the passing of her father at age 12, she was graced with the man she would call “Dad” for the rest of her life, in Herbert Porter (H.P.) Snider.   On January 19, 1952, Shirley married the love of her life, Eugene Ruth, and they had 3 children: son Dennis and daughters Lynn and Kathy.  Eugene and Shirley were married 45 years when he passed away in 1997.

Shirley was a lifelong resident of Sapulpa.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, going on road trips, and especially going to the casino.

At the age of 85, in her typical style, Shirley decided to go out with a bang.  She passed away at home with loved ones around her on the 4th of July 2021.
