Shirley Ann Grant (Freeman) was born to Herman and Minerva Freeman in Oceanside, California on January 15, 1950. She passed away July 20, 2022 at the age of 72.
Shirley grew up in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School. She worked for many years in food service before becoming a security guard at Tulsa International Airport. She enjoyed playing pool and loved her animals. She had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Minerva Freeman; son Donnie Ray Thomas; and sister Joan Zuniga. She is survived by her husband David Grant; son Dewayne Thomas and his wife Lisa; daughter Denise Romo and her husband Tony; siblings Jane Doctor, Gwen Gist, Aubrey Freeman and Monica Freeman; grandchildren Christopher Bro, Justin Bro, Dustin Bro, Megan Bro, Amber Krotzer, Jeremy Thomas, Jessica Smith and her husband Jeff, Ashley Duke and her husband Cameron, Allison Antwine and her husband Mitchel, Bradley Thomas, Peyton Thomas and Brendan Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
The family is having a Memorial Service for Shirley at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022. The service will be held at Open Arms Fellowship. 4421 West 5th Street Tulsa, OK 74127.
