Sharon Brewer

Our beloved Mother, Sharon Kay Brewer was born on April 13th, 1944 to Alpha and Arnold Exendine of Los Angeles, California. Sharon went to her Heavenly home to be with her father God on January 29th 2022. Sharon was married to Dale Eugene Brewer for about 3 years. This would be her only marriage. They had one son Aaron Mitchell Brewer. She lived in Mounds, Oklahoma most of her life where she raised her only child Aaron Brewer. Sharon graduated from Mounds High School. One of the first jobs that Sharon had was a candy striper at Bartlett Memorial Hospital in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She also worked at the pharmacy at the same hospital. However, she went on to get a secretarial degree from OSU Okmulgee. Later she worked for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company for many years. Her most recent job, where she worked for nearly 24 years, was for Hydrant Repair Parts in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She was a very hardworking and dedicated employee. Sharon also attended the Mounds Christian Church where she performed many duties there. She taught Sunday School classes, prepared the sacrament, she was an Elder and for many years she was the song leader. God blessed her with a very beautiful singing voice. She had been one of a trio singing group for many years. They sang at many funerals and weddings. One of Sharon’s most favorite things to do was to go on vacation trips to Branson with her kids. It was their annual trip taken every Memorial Day weekend. They enjoyed taking the old-time photos and watching various different shows. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Alpha and Arnold Exendine, her siblings Jessie Exendine, and Camilla Howell and her nephew James Howell. She is survived by her son Aaron Brewer and his wife Tammy of Mounds, Oklahoma. Her granddaughter Tera Harjo and her husband Russell of Mounds, Oklahoma and their children Corrinne Harjo of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Gabrielle Young, and August Harjo of Mounds, Oklahoma. Sharon was a devout Christian and dedicated her life to serving others. She never met a stranger nor missed an opportunity to share her faith with anyone. She loved her Lord and his precious son Jesus.
