Rosa Letha Douglas (Brumley)

Rosa Letha Douglas (Brumley) went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 8, 2018. Rosa was born December 17, 1944 to Lawrence Otto Brumley and Obereta Mae Shivley Brumley at their home in Kellyville, Oklahoma.

Rosie enjoyed her family and grandchildren, she loved cooking. She worked in her home and took care of many children throughout the years. She loved outdoors. Most of all she was a caregiver to all of her friends and family her entire life. Rosie loved all music, singing, dancing and yodeling. She had a great sense of humor and was a peacemaker. She suffered from early onset dementia which claimed her life.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Douglas, both parents; brothers Clyde Brumley, Charlie Brumley, Frankie Brumley, Donnie Brumley, Ernest Brumley, Tommy Brumley sisters Helen Hollingshed, Sally Ritchie and Baby Brumley.

She is survived by her 4 children: Carla Houston Pickering, Gail Houston Stephens, Michael Wayne Houston and Liane Houston Harris and their spouses, Brian Stephens and Matt Harris: and sisters: Ruth Mitchell, Cletus Bussett, Billie Robinson, Debbie Billingsly and brother; Lawrence “Bobo” Brumley. (Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.)

Rosie had many grandchildren: Travis Pickering, Cori Pickering, Jordan Ascensio, Paige Hernandez, Madison Noble, and Courtney Groden. Greatgrandchildren; Makiah Gibbs, Josiah Ascensio, Bentley Ascensio, Sin’e Cargil, Anderson Hernandez and Julian Ascensio.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Barbara Thorne officiating. Interment will follow at Kellyville City Cemetery. Casket Bearers are Miguel Ascensio, Matt Noble, Shelia Jones, Chad Jones, Jerry Brumley and Darren Swan. Honorary Casket Bearers are Brian Stephen, Travis Pickering, Rusty Jackson, Mike Degraffinreid, Gary Brumley and Marcus Charles.
