Rod Harton

Rodney C. Harton, 54, of Sapulpa went to be with the Lord on February 14th, 2020, while on his annual ski trip in Red River, New Mexico. He was surrounded by just a few of his amazing friends.
Rod was born June 24, 1965 to Donald and Carol Harton. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1983 and went on to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Nazarene University. He was employed by Cisco Systems.
Rod enjoyed spending his time snow skiing in Red River, summers in his lake house on Lake Tenkiller. He always enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings looking out over the lake with a good cigar and glass of wine. During football season he would be found in Norman cheering on his Oklahoma Sooners or at home sitting in the recliner yelling at the tv. The same can be said about basketball season. He would be in Oklahoma City cheering on Oklahoma Thunder, or again, at home in the recliner yelling at the tv. Rod enjoyed any time he had with family and friends. He surrounded himself with amazing people and did so much for those he loved.
Rod is preceded in death by his father Donald and mother Carol.
He is survived by his son Cavett Bright, his love, April, stepdaughters Lilly, Chloe and Brady Horath; his sister Jackie Harton; his nieces Kelsea & Erin Beaver and nephew Adam Harton and a host of other relatives and friends.
