Preceded in death by parents John Wallace Trepp, Sr. (11-24-1992) and Monetta Johnson Trepp (4-26-2013), and by his partner, Martin Russell Shackelford (2-6-2006) of Pawhuska.
He is survived by brother, John Wallace (Wally) Trepp, Jr. of Jenks; brother Thomas Wallace Trepp and his wife, Kay, of Tulsa; Nephew Justin Trepp of Detroit, Michigan; Niece Rhiannon Trepp of Jenks; nephew Lance Trepp of Henryetta, OK; aunt Doris Spielman of Jenks; cousins Donna Spielman of Jenks, John (and Maureen) Trepp of Minneapolis, MN, and Sherry Trepp (and Nick Valentine) of Pelican Lake, MN, also cousins Greg (and Gayla) Johnson of Jenks, Janet (and Sky) Forester of Colorado Springs, CO, Donavan Hamilton of Tulsa, and Nan Patten of Oklahoma city. Numerous other loving relatives and many, many dear friends. Also, his Norwegian Elk Hound, “Freyer”.
Additionally, his Shackelford Family of Pawhuska, including Martin’s brothers Harrison, Mike and Anthony, along with their extended families and friends.
Registered 3/32 Muscogee Creek Indian, Rob was quite active with Creek Indian history, festivals, art and culture.
Graduate of Nathan Hale High School 1969. Graduate of University of Arkansas 1976, Masters in Political Science. Employed at PRESCOR, LLC – part owner, Executive VP of Sales, and Board Member (January 1995 to present, plus intermittent time before that). President of National Indian Monument and Institute, CEO since 2013. Former employment at Muscogee Creek Nation in Okmulgee (May 1975 to December 1983).
Enjoyed reading, especially books about the Creek Nation, politics, native American history and was the historian of our Perryman Family heritage. Loved his dogs, and always took the ones he had on trips with him over the years. He enjoyed several weeks in Crested Butte South, Colorado every summer, as well as weekend trips to NW Arkansas’ Beaver Lake and White River.

Family graveside burial services will at Nelagoney Cemetery outside of Pawhuska, OK. Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home in Pawhuska is handling arrangements. A Memorial Servicer will be held at the Perryman Ranch, 11524 South Elwood, Jenks, OK. We will have a large tent with chairs and facilities.
