Richard Earl Stewart was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lee Floyd and Thelma (Flippin) Stewart. He passed away after a battle with colon cancer at St. John Medical Center November 21, 2018 at the age of 79.

Richard graduated from Kellyville High School in 1957. He serviced as a sharp shooter in the United States Army and later worked as a plumber and pipefitter. Richard married Connie Patterson on November 12, 1960 at Sunset Wedding Chapel in Reno, Nevada. Their wedding day held unexpected surprises. They encountered a blizzard and had a car wreck, but the couple was married in spite of circumstances and remained married for 58 years. Their union was blessed with 4 children; Vicki, Lisa, Kevin and Candy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee Floyd Steward and Thelma (Flippin) Stewart; sister Charlene Gilliland; and brother Walter Floyd. Survivors include his wife Connie Stewart; daughter Vicki Lansford and husband Doug of Harker Heights, TX; daughter Lisa Rogers of Tulsa; son Kevin Stewart of Sapulpa; daughter Candy Todd and husband Kendall of Tulsa; sister Carol of Cleveland; brother Freddy of Tulsa; grandchildren Scott Lansford, Reid Lansford, Jill Galbraith, Misty Murray, Duston Todd, Kelsey Stewart, Sarah McMindes and Carlee Roberts; great-grandchildren Conner Wood, Presley Wood, Mason Wells and Sawyer Lansford; along with many more family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, November 27th. Green Hill Funeral Home. 918-224-2312
