R.“Nadine” Burzio, 95, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home, Sapulpa, OK. She was born on September 10, 1922 “Earem”, Okmulgee County, OK to Arthur and Doris Lucille (Sandusky) Gunter. She was a homemaker. She left Tulsa and had resided in the Sapulpa community since the 1950’s. She was a member of the Creek County Horse Demonstration Club and volunteered at nursing homes.

Nadine attended Twin Hills High School (between Beggs and Muskogee) then went to Okmulgee Business College. She worked at Cessna and Boeing in Wichita in WWII doing woodwork on the interiors.

Nadine and Frank raised thoroughbred race horses and she took care of them.

Nadine met and married, Frank P. Burzio on September 12, 1946.

Nadine is survived by children, Barbara J. Lovett of Beggs; Paula M. Hoffman and husband, Jerry of Muskogee; Frank P. Burzio and wife, Shirley of Sapulpa and John A. Burzio and wife, Stephanie of Sapulpa; and grandchildren, John Michael Lovett of Crescent, Jennifer Cavner and husband, Jack of Tulsa and Amber Rodriquez and husband, Danny of Miami, FL.

Nadine is preceded in death by husband, Frank P. Burzio (1990); parents, Arthur and Doris Gunter; oldest daughter, Elizabeth Ann Burzio; grandson, Robert Wayne Lovett; sister, Jean Saddler; and brother, Waldon Gunter.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 3, 2018 at South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
