Patricia Ellen (Sontag) Whitetree, 71, passed away peacefully at Grace Living Center in Jenks, OK, on July 29, 2022, after a brief illness.

Pat was born on November 4, 1950 in Sapulpa OK and spent most of her life there, surrounded by family and friends. She attended NSU and Langston University, graduating with a BA in Education. She was a dedicated teacher for over 20 years to first- and second- graders at Washington and Woodlawn Elementary Schools. She was known for her patience, hugs, and smile. She accepted everyone with open arms. She was endlessly proud of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Sontag, Sr., sister Anna Gonzalez, brother Stephen Sontag, nephew Cory Sontag and niece Sarah Domres. She is survived by her mother, Madia Sontag, brother John Sontag and wife Karen, brother Phillip Sontag, sister Catherine Hamilton and husband Charles, brother-in-law Timoteo Gonzalez, her children and their spouses, Todd and Pamela Whitetree, Amy Whitetree, and Erin and Jasson Brook. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Jacob and Addison Brook, Iris and Ivy Whitetree-Rojas, and Ethan and Elliot Whitetree. “Aunt Patty” is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children, whom she loved like her own.
