Matthew Lane Whitehouse was born January 11, 1963 to Wilbert Ray and Sharon Rozanne Whitehouse in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  He departed this life January 16, 2021 at the age of 58 years.

A graduate of Bristow High School in 1981, Lane spent the next thirty years as a public servant.  He worked for Creek County in several capacities but most recently was serving his second term as Creek County Commissioner.

Lane Whitehouse and Robin Robinson were united in marriage September 5, 1997.  He was a faithful member of the Bristow Holiness Church.  He loved his church but more importantly he loved his Lord and Savior.  He loved working in his shop, whether it was tinkering on cars or just fixing something.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going the lake.  More than anything, Lane loved spending time with his family.  He especially loved his grandkids; they were his life.  He was a friend to many and was always willing to take time to share encouragement or lend a helping hand whenever the opportunity arose.
