Martha JoAnn (Bevenue) Whitehead was called home by her heavenly father on July 31, 2022, she was 74 years old. Martha was born December 4, 1948, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Alfred and Martha (Bennett) Bevenue.

She enjoyed her grandchildren and being at home.  Her hobbies were reading, doing crossword puzzles and boy did she love to cookout, as well as traveling with her husband in her younger years. She also loved when family and friends came to visit, she was always eager to make you a glass of tea.  She also enjoyed her pioneer woman cookware.

Martha’s husband and children were the light of her life. She was blessed to have been married for 58 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Martha Bevenue; sisters Norma Lee, Barbara Tiger, Patricia Banks and Wilma Jean Bevenue.

She is survived by her husband Mike Whitehead of the home; sons Michael Alen Whitehead and wife Molly and Jeffery Wayne Whitehead and wife Deda all of Sapulpa; grandchildren Anthony, Kody and Ky; greatgrandchildren Mia and Temperance; sisters Josephine Haney of Sapulpa and Wanda Bevenue of Sapulpa; brother Alfred W. Bevenue of Tulsa and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2022, both at the Traditions Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Sapulpa
