Kenneth “Cheyenne” DeWayne Watashe, 50 our beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend departed this earth to be with his creator on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. He was born on May 2, 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He attended Kellyville Public Schools where he played fast pitch softball, football, and baseball. He was a kicker for the mighty mighty Ponies. Cheyenne was a carpenter by trade among other things. He enjoyed everything from singing (he thought he could sing), eating bowls of cereal, tons of bags of chips and Pepsi. He was a lifelong member at Polecat Ceremonial Grounds and a member of the Nac Yuchi Chapter.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lou Ellen Spencer Evans; Bill Spencer; brothers Eric “E-Rock” Spencer and Shane Spencer; grandparents Mary and George Watashe.

He is survived by Tennille Chesnut; children Sage Watashe, Jaidan Watashe and Kennedy Vogt; siblings Paige White, Alice Tiger, Yoney and Janette Spencer and George Watashe; nieces Maysa White, Erica Spencer, Jazmyne Spencer, Kailyn Bearpaw, Taygann, Alyssa, Sadie Spencer and Kaydence; nephews Keland Bearpaw, Cire Spencer, Cowboy, Cotan E. White and numerous cousins whom he called brothers and sisters.

Wake service will be 7:30pm, Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Kellyville Indian Community Center in Kellyville, Oklahoma. Services have been set for 11:00am, Saturday, February 2, 2019 also at the Kellyville Indian Community Center. Services are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373.
