Kay Adell Lawson, 79, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home, Sapulpa, OK. She was born on November 5, 1938 in Tulsa, OK to Kermit Clifford and Pauline (Polly) Alice (Page) Carter. She was owner/administrator of a Ranch Terrace Nursing Home, Sapulpa, OK. She was a member of the Sapulpa First Methodist Church since 2008.

She attended St. John’s School of Nursing, Tulsa, OK (1956-57), Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK (1957-58) and Oklahoma University, Norman, OK (Nursing Home Administration 1962-63).

She enjoyed bowling, skating, oil painting, working out in the yard, golfing and traveling with friends.

She is survived by son, Chad Carter Isbell and wife, Crystal; son, Randy Darwin Isbell and wife, Sherri; grandchildren, Justin, Kaylin, Payton and Alexandra.

She is preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Lawson; parents, Kermit and Polly Carter; brother, David Larry Carter; and grandparents, Robert and Minnie Page.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Faith Church,1901 W 171st S, Glenpool, OK 74033. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
