Jonathan Raymond Engles was born on January 22, 1946 in Sapulpa Oklahoma and went to be with his heavenly Father August 1, 2019 in Grove, Oklahoma. Surround by his loving wife of 52 years Jane Ann Engles, his Daughter Amy Slivers, son-in law Jack, His Son Jon E. Engles and wife Shanae his grandchildren, his brother Pat Engles and wife Carolyn brother Phillip Engles brother and sister in Law James and Tria McCracken. Best Friends Jon and Kathy Harper and Mike and Sandy Pennington, and many loved ones and friends.
Jonny or Big Jon as he was known was a proud Vietnam veteran having served in The United States Army. Upon his return home Jon worked in the trucking industry running, owning and selling big trucks all over the country and eventually the world. Jon was a compassionate and giving husband and Father, as well as a man who would do anything he could to help those in need. He always stated that he may have grown up poor, but he always rich in love and carried this philosophy through his life.
Jon was proceeded in death by his Father E.L.”Slim” Engles, Mother Mary Engles, Infant Daughter Erin Engles, Brothers Joe, Reed and Chris Engles Sister Roberta and infant Lisa.
A Celebration of life is being held at the First Christian Church in Sapulpa on August 24, 2019 at 11:30 come and join us to celebrate Jon’s life.
