John A. Morris, 87, of Tulsa passed from this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at home. He was born on June 26, 1930 in Kiefer, OK to Arley Amos and Clara Fay (Burd) Morris. He was self-employed, owned and operated Morris Heat and Air. He served his country in both the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and the National Guard for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Sapulpa Chapter of the VFW where he served as Post Commander for several years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He enjoyed camping and fishing on his favorite lake, Fort Gibson, spending many hours Crappie fishing and trolling for Sand Bass.

He is survived by 2 sons, John Morris and Jerry Morris; grandchildren, Ryan and Kristin Morris and children, Todd and Tyler, Clint and Kari Oare and children, and Thomas and Amanda Oare and children; and sister, Betty Moore of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by wife, Fronie Marie (Williams) Morris; parents, Arley Amos and Clara Fay Morris; and brothers, George Earl Morris and Billy Joe Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Smith Funeral Chapel, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK. Interment to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
