Jerry Dale (JD) Fletcher was born August 12, 1941 to Ed and Zola (Spears) Fletcher, and raised in the Zion community near Stilwell, OK with his brother Wayne Fletcher (wife Avis). After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, JD began working in Tulsa and enlisted in the US Army reserves. JD retired from Stanfield & Odell after a 38 year career.

For 52 wonderful years, JD was married to the love of his life Shirley Faye Clinton. They raised four children, Carmen Dee (Fletcher) Chambers (husband Reggie), Matthew Dale Fletcher (wife Lisa), Jason Doyle Fletcher, and Benjamin Wade Fletcher (wife JaLynn). They have been blessed with 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who brought an immeasurable amount of joy to JD’s life.

JD enjoyed gardening, reading, riding his tractor, travelling with his beloved wife, family, and driving his pickup truck.

JD went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 9, 2018. He is preceded in death by both parents, and survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a brother.

Funeral services will be October 11th at 10:00 at the Sapulpa First United Methodist Church, with a 2:30 graveside service at the Stilwell City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home, Tulsa.
